Cranberry and Orange Sauce

Prep Notes:

  • 17oz. clean water
  • 16oz. organic cranberries
  • 1 cup coconut sugar
  • 1/2 cup maple syrup, honey, or agave
  • 6 tangerines or 4 oranges
  • 1/4 tsp ground nutmeg
  • 1/4 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 3/4 cup chopped walnuts or pecans (optional)



Rinse cranberries well. Over high heat add water and cranberries and bring to a boil. Then reduce heat to medium, cover, and allow the cranberries to pop (about 15 minutes). After your cranberries have all popped turn heat to low. Add the remaining ingredients (except nuts) and stir well. Cover and let cook another 15-20 minutes. Add nuts the last 5 minutes if you choose. Let this cool and refrigerate. Can be made a week in advance.
