It's Time to Come Alive!
In the trenches of life, a last minute trip leads to unexpected restoration and soul revival. However, nothing surprises God. I may not have expected it, but I have a strong sense it was a DIVINE set up.
Tucked quietly away in the desert trails in Abiquiu, New Mexico, I find myself standing in the same place I stood 10 years ago.
It was there at Ghost Ranch I wrote and published my first devotional. I was way out of my comfort zone and my insides and instincts screamed - “Run! Leave! You don't have what it takes. You are in way over your head!” I was unnerved and desperate to leave. However, there was no way out. My only choice was to stick it out and so I did. Class after class and meetings with editors to validate or reject my passion. It seemed the very thing I loved to do hung on the words of a few people. I never considered then that I did not have to accept their critiques.
It was there, sitting on the side of that mountain, I finished my first devotional.
Now 10 years later, I have return to the same mountain. And WOW! It has been a slow unwinding.
It was surreal and inviting. It was wild and lovely. We walked around the ranch and memories flooded back. I found the building where after one of my classes I stepped outside and around the back corner and there right in front of my face was a lady drawn on the wall in what appeared to be chalk but likely faded painted. She was in a dancing position and in large letters it said "Dance through it!"
I was speechless. The name of my devotion was "The Dance!" I knew God was rescuing my heart then and I know He is now. We continued walking around the ranch heading to the foot of the "Chimney Rock" trail. We opted for a hike and were on our way up the mountain side. The weather was perfect. With each step His faithfulness and my longing for more kissed.
It was a specific moment in time where I knew I was coming ALIVE. And my journey to waking out of my silence and LIVING FULLY ALIVE began. It has been a powerful, transformational journey and I can’t keep it to myself; which is why I walk hand and hand with women to do the same.
I work with women who know they are called to more and are ready to rise up. But after trying so many things, they’re still struggling to stand up for themselves.
They are spinning in self-doubt, silenced in fear of rejection, and stuck in overwhelm.
After working with me they feel more alive, more on fire, and more free which results in them RISING and LIVING empowered, confident, and FULLY ALIVE.
We are not to “be fixed”! We are to unwind and unbind!
